Happy Monday, friends! Today I am not even angry it’s a Monday, because I leave for Mexico on Friday!! Say what!? I cannot wait to fly out to Puerto Vallarta to kick off my 2016 wedding season with an amazing couple!! Today on the blog I am sharing my morning routine with you!
This routine is what gets me out of bed and helps me start the day off right! I start work at 8 a.m. every morning so I set one alarm for 7 and the other for 7:30. My 7 oclock alarm goes off and I get excited knowing I get 30 more minutes of sleep so I turn it off and go back to sleep. Once my 7:30 alarm goes off I then wake up feeling really refreshed instead of groggy and exhausted!
The first thing I do every morning is grab my phone off my night stands and scroll through social media. This used to be something that would make me feel depressed, but I now look at it as inspiration! I see other amazing boss ladies doing their thang, and it gets me excited about what I am doing! I usually spend about 15 minutes laying in bed on my phone before getting up. Once I am up I brush my teeth, put my hair in a pony tail, and wash my face! I use a nice gentle cleanser (Purity by Philosophy) to wake me up a little, and then I moisturize my face! At this point I am still very much in my pj’s, but I usually am most days because that’s just what boss ladies do. 😉
Once I am done washing my face I like to cut up one banana and one apple into bite size pieces and mix them together in a bowl. This is one of my favorite breakfasts because besides the fact that it is incredibly easy to make, it gives me energy and tastes soooo good! I am not a coffee drinker so I like to eat fruit and drink water to start my day!
After I have my breakfast and am finally ready to work, I will set up my comp and such at the dinning room table and go straight to my e-mails! Checking my e-mails really motivates me for the rest of the day, because after a weekend that inbox is FULL, and it can be quite the task to answer them all. I like to get my hardest task done first to not only get my brain going, but help myself feel and be more productive as well!
